Deepika Padukone, daughter of badminton champion Prakash Padukone, is an Indian model and actress. She made her Bollywood debut in the blockbuster Om Shanti Om which earned her the Filmfare debut award. Since her debut movie, she has acted in multiple movies of which only Love Aaj Kal has made a good impression at the box office.

Like her father she has been national level badminton player.

Deepika has been in the news for her off screen personal life. She dated her co-star Ranbir Kapoor, but it ended with sour notes. She has been recently dating Sidharth Mallya (son of the tycoon Vijay Mallya).

Aishwarya and Abhishek to act in Ladies and Gentlemen
"Ladies and Gentlemen" will see Bollywood's first couple Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan playing the lead roles. Earlier, it was speculated, Rajkumar Santoshi is considering Salman Khan and Deepika Padukone to play the lead roles, but now it seems the deal is all set for the first couple.
