Amitabh Bachchan is an Indian film actor and producer. Amitabh is one of the most prominent figures in the history of Indian cinema. He was the first actor that potrayed the "angry young man" persona which made him very popular in 1970s and 1980s.

Amitabh has been considered as the best Bollywood actor by many. He has been awarded Padam Bhusan and is a four time National Award winner for best actor. Amitabh has been also honored by France,Egypt, UK, Morroco and Iran for his contributions to cinema.

Amitabh Bachchan is married to Jaya Bhaduri, her co star from various movies. His son Abhishek Bachchan is also an Indian actor.
