Slumdog Millionaire's Latika aka Freida Pinto got a big boost in her portfolio with the success of the movie Rise of the Planet of the Apes. Rise of the Planet of the Apes dominated the box office with $54 million opening, easily beating the competition to secure the top spot at the box office. This was Freida's second success at the box office, first being the Oscar winning Slumdog Millionaire.

Well the million dollar question is - does the success of the movie Rise of the Planet of the Apes help Freida's career ? Freida Pinto was one of the most sought after actress after the release of Slumdog. Ms. Pinto's acting career has not taken off. She has acted in Woody Allen's movie as well as in [person]Julian Schnabel[/movie]'s movie. However, those two movies didn't do much for her. Freida was reduced to modeling and magazines.

With the success of Rise of the Planet of the Apes, there is a chance Frieda's career might take off again. Freida's critics however thinks, she is not going to make big in Hollywood. Even for the movie Rise of the Planet of the Apes, Freida didn't have enough lines. Freida was mostly used as eye candy. Freida was up for all big roles after Slumdog, but it never crystallized. Freida used to be in top this and that, now she is not really on the hot list anymore.

Freida's nude scene in the movie Immortals has already created flutters at the web. Her fans are eagerly waiting for the movie and hoping Freida get success.
