The highlight of the Billboard Awards night was Justin Bieber winning the award for Top New Artist. The exciting part of the annoucement was Justin Bieber kissing his girlfriend Selena Gomez as the award was announced. This was the most romantic thing that happened when the world was supposed to finished. Justin Bieber didn't acknowledge Selena in his acceptance speech, which I thought was a bit rude. However, it is said that, Bieber later praised Selena in the press room, saying, "She's amazing." Bieber won five other awards Sunday night.

Justin and Selena's kiss is going to be on talk of the town for days. Offcourse, there will be comedians and radio making fun of Justin and the kiss, however, Justin and Selena's true fans will cherish it. Surprise kisses are now becoming part of awards night. It started with Britney Spears and Madonna kissing in 2003. Britney repeated the act in Billboard Awards, with a kiss shared with Rihanna. Britney and Rihanna kiss looked staged and was designed to generate controversy. Justin and Selena's kiss will beat that anyday.

With the kiss though, Justin Bieber breaks hearts everywhere.
